The quality of life game V

R4: The individual is an important opponent of himself in JQVI.

The quality of life game IV

In the Biosphere, the individual seeks resources to preserve or improve their QOL according to their psychological constitution. We will assume in JQVI a subgame where players are the psychological factors of the individual, including the individual himself, that act in defining, choosing, organizing, and using them.

The psyche, as it moves, points the direction of the individual's interests. We can draw on Carl Gustav Jung to conceive of two general types of psychic disposition. The subject has two basic tendencies toward the object. The introvert tends to move away from the object, abstracting it, as if it is sure that it is of little value. The extrovert tends to approach the object and affirm its significance as if to compensate for doubt about its sufficient value. We can imagine other intermediate types with differences only in the degree of the psyche's tendency to move away or closer to the object.

The psyche acts in the psychological subgame of the individual in the form of the unconscious and conscious players. Your introvert or extrovert strategy is chosen by the unconscious. This is much broader in the psyche than the conscious. The biological adjustment with the object occurs through the unconscious from the conception of the subject, while the conscious is formed until the moment when the subject sees himself as an individual.

Therefore, the individual could see himself in the following inner subgame. He is forced to deal with objects and has been doing so since he was constituted as a psyche, that is, as a kind of matter capable of living. One can live better or worse. Living is not just dealing with objects, but dealing with oneself. Its disposition towards the object is of approach or distance, with greater or lesser intensity. So you can take two types of strategy: being an introvert or being an extrovert.

For him, he is forced to confront his consciousness, which has been developing since an immemorial beginning, with his unconscious that has always been there attached to his matter seen as his body.

Living is the result of the psyche's adjustment to the objects of the world and to itself. Psyche is a matter capable of self-representing, that is, of representing for itself its potentialities or its instincts. How does the dog know if it attacks or wags its tail? How does the cockroach know if it runs away or calmly examines the rest of human food? These beings could not act in two different ways if they did not represent themselves their potentialities or their instincts, that is, if they were not the psyche. However, the human individual is a psyche with an extra capacity, precisely to represent for himself the representations of his potentialities or instincts. This upper or second level representation is capable of structuring the lower or first level representations.

The unconscious of the individual, part of the hardly accessible psyche, produces representations by means of symbols in a different way from consciousness which can evolve into its capacity for structuring representation of inferior representations. Consciousness can reach the state of reason or mathematics.

Spoken language is a sophisticated second level representation, but it is still very close to the first level. It is interesting to observe the spoken language of the illiterate and to note that the lack of writing creates difficulties in the quality of information, as information itself without consideration of its meaning, which it intends to convey.

Writing 4,000 years ago is a sign of the emergence of the state of consciousness called reason or mathematics. The representation of spoken language in written form requires a logical structuring, a symbol operator function. For example, if I write “I want” I immediately notice the operation “I + want =?” And thus the need for the direct object as a result. Therefore writing is an early form of reason or mathematics and is already far from the first level of representation.

Reason or mathematics is a stage of evolution of consciousness which, in turn, is a stage in the evolution of the psyche which, in turn, is a stage in the evolution of a type of matter which, in turn, is a possible state of the universe. therefore one of the stages of its evolution. Reason or mathematics is the capacity of consciousness to structure the first level representations of the psyche. It is important to note that every second level representation that represents, therefore, other representations, is necessarily structuring. In fact, it is not possible to form a set of sets Ç1, Ç2,… , Çno without dominating the totality. The number no is an immediate property of the totality Ç = {Ç1, Ç2,… , Çno}. However, the totality itself is a representation prior to its cardinal nobut this remarkable immediate property demonstrates that wholeness is a structuring representation.

We therefore assume the following strategies present in the inner subgame JI of the individual.

JI1: The individual sees himself as a capacity for representation

representations of their potentialities or instincts, or even

as a psyche capable of representing its first representations

level. Your life is your psyche and, conversely, your psyche is your

JI2: There are two possibilities of disposition of the individual in front of the object.

Introversion or extroversion. That is, the individual always tends to be

move away from the object, abstracting it, as one already knows that it does not have

value, or always tends to approach the object as if

doubt its value and need to state it to

make up for the doubt.

JI3: The individual has difficulty coping with his unconscious but not

You can delete it. The strategy is to try to find a way to

peaceful coexistence. The cost of undiscovered is neurosis.

JI4: The individual has difficulty coping with his conscience, but this

It is different from the unconscious. However, consciousness is related

with the unconscious, whether the individual wants it or not. He can

take the strategy of always improving awareness towards

self-knowledge and assume that this strategy minimizes the

damage to inadequate living. The damage may be the

more general psychological distress or lower quality of life.

The application details of JI1, JI2, JI3 and JI4, are the life of each one.

Could we consider more precisely the nature of the representation of a potentiality? After this reasoning that we have developed so far, comes to mind the idea that a representation of a potentiality is nothing more than information about itself. The psyche is therefore matter in the state of information. Just like matter m can express itself as energy AND (and Einstein bequeathed us the formula AND = m ç2), it can also express itself in the state of information.

At an early stage of evolution, matter in the state of information can only inform itself, that is, inform itself of its potentialities. At a later stage of evolution, a kind of “quantum leap” occurs, and matter that was already able to inform itself acquires the second-level ability to inform itself now about its information, that is, it becomes yourself conscious psyche.

As it evolves, the conscious psyche can increasingly improve its first level information and its second level information. It may end up becoming fully aware of your inner nature. Perhaps this is the meaning of Werner Heisenberg's intriguing phrase: "Man investigates nature and finds himself."

Suddenly we realize that a being who is capable of producing information can naturally evolve through increased information and, upon mutation, can naturally acquire the ability to produce information about his information. In addition, information is a state of matter of nature opposite to that of energy. While energy tends to dissipate easily causing the material world to go into a state of disorder, information tends to increase by expressing a strictly symmetrical but opposite behavior.

Suddenly we realize an intriguing idea. Psychic expression seems to be a compensation of entropy or, conversely, entropy looks like a compensation of psychic expression.

JI5: The individual may assume the strategy of curiosity about themselves

himself and by exploiting his natural ability to produce

be increasingly creative and tend to compensate for

greatest possible losses of existence which are the fears of

abandonment and psychic suffering.

Jung's principle of compensation between conscious and unconscious content may be the key idea for effectively applying the strategy. JI5.
