The number no is an immediate property of the totality Ç = {Ç1, Ç2,… , Çno}. This remarkable immediate property demonstrates that wholeness is a structuring representation.

We were studying, as part of the larger game JQVI, the subgame of the individual we call Inner Game or JI. The possible basic strategies in this subgame were:

JI1The individual sees himself as a capacity to represent the representations of his potentialities or instincts, or even as a psyche capable of representing his first level representations. Your life is your psyche and, conversely, your psyche is your life.

JI2: There are two possibilities of disposition of the individual in front of the object. Introversion or extroversion. That is, the individual always tends to move away from the object, abstracting it, as one already knows that it does not have much value, or always tends to approach the object as if in doubt about its value and need to affirm it to make up for the doubt.

JI3: The individual has difficulty coping with his unconscious but cannot eliminate it. The strategy is to seek to discover a peaceful way of living. The cost of undiscovered is neurosis.

JI4: The individual has difficulty coping with his consciousness, but it is different from the unconscious. However, consciousness relates to the unconscious, whether the individual wants it or not. He may take the strategy of always enhancing consciousness toward self-knowledge and presupposing that this strategy minimizes the harm of inadequate living. The damage may be more general psychological distress or lower quality of life.

JI5The individual may take the strategy of curiosity about himself and, exploiting his natural ability to produce information, be increasingly creative and tend to compensate for the greatest possible damage to existence which is the fear of abandonment and psychological distress.

We put in JI the hypothesis that the psyche is matter in the state of information. We made the analogy that just as matter m can express itself as energy AND (AND = m ç2), it can also express itself in the state of information. At this point an interesting question arises: what would be the analogous formula

H = H(AND) = H(m ç2)

for energy transformation AND in information H?

We have also made the observation that psychic expression seems to be a compensation of entropy or, conversely, entropy looks like a compensation of psychic expression. The idea of ​​compensation, or equilibrium, is one of the pillars of mathematics and science in general. It was taken by Carl Gustav Jung to understand the workings of the psyche. We note that Jung's principle of compensation between conscious and unconscious content may be the key idea for effectively applying the strategy. JI5.

Therefore, we are then ready to analyze the JI. The great engine of our actions will always be the principle of compensation. We will always ask whether the situation is balanced or not, and which elements make up the balance or which elements should be present for the balance to occur.

Our interest is the analysis of a particular individual playing the JI, in addition to the larger scenario analysis of the conditions that may involve all possible indoor games. Others have already devoted themselves to this task. The pioneer was Sigmund Freud with his brilliant hypothesis of the psychic apparatus and its drives. We will introduce some ideas in our analysis of the JI inspired by Freud's or Jung's concepts, but they will not be committed to coinciding with them and may even irreparably deform them. The course of our intuition and reasoning will be totally free.

The first problem we imagine is the emergence of consciousness connected to unconsciousness through a preconscious zone. We will interpret Freud and Jung's ideas in our own way imagining that the individual who plays the JI faces a geometry. That is, its nature is that of a dark circle, composed of unknown and inaccessible psychic contents, surrounded by a less dark crown composed of partially known and accessible contents which, in turn, is surrounded by a second crown, which is quite fine. clearer and made up of apparently known and accessible psychic content.

We suppose that one's dreams are clues about unconscious content, but we are not restricted to this as the only possibility. We introduce the notion of “intuition” as another way of accessing unconscious content. The idea is this: as dreams suggest, there is no insurmountable block between the unconscious and conscious contents; we just assume that their relationship and connection is difficult. Channels of connection must exist, although they are still inaccessible through methodical attitudes of consciousness. Intuition is another indication that such channels are open and it brings to the conscious imaginations that form in the unconscious.

Imaginations are the product of the psyche that we suppose to be matter in a state of information. Therefore, they can only originate from the activity of living matter capable of producing and retaining information. Note that information produced and retained by living matter is not the same as a computer storing bits in its memory. We add the hypothesis that information produced and retained by the psyche is always twofold, that is, it is necessarily accompanied by interpretation, or what information envisions, or what it "sees" or what it "means." Therefore, it must be assumed that the state of information that matter acquires in the psyche contains informed information about itself. Otherwise it would not be psyche.

This point deserves extra attention. We have already said that the second level of representation is that of the representation of the first level representations. It must be emphasized that in the human psyche second-level representation is automatic. First level representations, instincts, for example, are automatically represented at a second level.

Since the origin and formation of imaginations (information produced by living matter) are not visible, we say that they arise in the unconscious. Intuition is like the background radiation of the universe, a trace that something happened in a certain way. It is a clue that living matter acted, produced information to its capacity, and left a trail of what information means.

Intuition is the main source of inspiration for the human psyche, in particular the mathematician and the scientist. It's the mathematician that interests us here. How could the mathematician intuit and understand the JI? First of all, it offers a model on this important issue of second level representation.

The imagination of numbers 1, 2, and 3 is rooted in the unconscious. Certain animals are able to distinguish them. However, they probably do not have the second level information, the set {1, 2, 3} that symbolizes the representation of which numbers were represented. It is of the human psychic nature this extra property. Key placement is a simple and efficient mathematical model to indicate the ability of the human psyche to represent second level. The operations between sets are also very suggestive to imagine the ability to create second level information: {1, 2, 3} È {4,5,5} = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, or { 1, 3, 5, 6} {{1, 5, 8, 9} = {1,5}. That is, besides representing the instinctive representations according to a certain selection, the human psyche is still able to relate two or more of them, forming a new representation from this second level information. Mathematics, therefore, is confused with the reason of the human psyche.

Thus, as mathematics grows unlimitedly, it follows that consciousness also grows. If an individual decides to play the JI believing in this postulate, then there are some interesting questions to ask him.

Here we will make some fundamental assumptions and therefore imagine a very specific individual playing the JI, a mathematician. Our mathematical individual apparently does not accept magic, supernatural forces and any kind of gods. To cope with the deep sense of loneliness that results from this choice, he clings to the intuition that his consciousness can grow and gain knowledge about itself.

He then asks, for example, how the passage from inanimate matter to living matter takes place.

The mathematical model you propose to imagine yourself to play the JI is that matter comes alive when its properties “fluctuate”. This is when your component materials m1, m2,… , mno,…, Or component energies, have the probabilities P1, P2,… , Pno,…, Or expression percentages. As an example, we hypothetically imagined that an electron that would behave as a wave at a 10 percent chance of being observed would have come alive. Its property of being a wave would fluctuate according to this probability. Our individual lives, that is, plays the JI, imagining himself as an uncertain being carrying an amount of uncertainty H. To calculate the essence of being an uncertain being, take Shannon's formula:

This is the important entropy formula of Shannon's Information Theory. Therefore, our particular individual can imagine his being as a fluctuation of possibilities and the total amount of uncertainty that constitutes his being is given by the famous formula above. When P tends to zero for positive values, P log P also tends to zero because PP tends to 1. Any log base serves this formula.

In theoretical terms, our particular mathematical individual is satisfied, but in practice wants to know how to counteract psychic suffering. You need to know how the above odds contribute to your suffering or pleasure in being alive, so it is not helpful for you only to know that your essence is that of a "floating material being." You need to know how your component energies shape your floating self. This is how our mathematical individual then seeks the Freudian or Jungian structure of the human psyche.
